|Wespath Benefits and Investments (Wespath) implements the sustainable investment strategies, including the approach to shareholder engagement, for investment funds made available through it and its subsidiaries, including Wespath Institutional Investments (WII).|
Wespath’s strategic partnerships allow us to pool our resources and voices to achieve greater influence with companies across market sectors and around the globe. We work in partnership with other like-minded investors and organizations dedicated to corporate accountability and sustainability.
Our strategic partners complement WII’s full range of sustainable investing activities and include the groups below. We also work informally with our investor peers on issues of mutual concern.
We often find opportunities to work with other asset owners separate from those partnerships in order to promote sustainable investment on a global scale. We have taken advantage of two unique opportunities—the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board's (SASB) Investor Advisory Group (IAG)—to join together with our peers to help shape the global sustainability reporting landscape.
Wespath was part of a group of 13 major global investors representing over $2.4 trillion in assets under management that developed the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI).
By partnering with SASB and other like-minded investors, we are better able to encourage robust ESG disclosures among the companies in which we invest as well as in the broader financial markets.
