The Future of Investor Engagement

Corporate engagement is currently the primary tool used by climate-aware investors to support decarbonization and facilitate the net-zero transition in the real economy. But corporate engagements have limits. “The Future of Investor Engagement” is a new paper co-authored by our Director of Sustainable Investment Stewardship, Jake Barnett, and Allianz Investment Management’s Patrick Peura. The paper calls on investors to complement corporate engagement with systemic levers of stewardship such as sector, policy, and asset manager engagement to address climate risk.
